Pre-Natal and Post-Natal Pilates

Pilates can help women stay healthy and comfortable during pregnancy. Pilates strengthens the core muscles to support the baby and the mother. It can help relieve low back and hip pain that are common during pregnancy. Pilates also strengthens the arms, shoulders and upper back to prepare the mother for carrying children and car seats and pushing strollers. Post-natal Pilates is much of the same but has a stronger emphasis on aligning the spine and regaining the strength of the core muscles.
